The Ballast Ball is a Stability Ball with sand or grit inside to add weight, giving it more stability in certain exercises or adding more challenge and weight when lifting the ball in other exercises. Several of these exercises can be done with a standard Stability Ball, which we do carry several brands and types. In some, it would be helpful to add the Ball Base Ring, to help keep the ball in place or to create that similar stability that the weighted ball offers. The Ball Ring keeps the ball in place whether you are doing exercises or you use a stability ball as a ball chair. These rings are great for beginners or for the advanced – when you need to know that ball will stay put as you jump your feet off and on, say in a plank exercise.
