Thank you all for making our Grand Opening Party such a success!  We enjoyed meeting you and celebrating the opening of our brick-and-mortar store with you.  We hope you were one of the many happy recipients of the prizes and giveaways that were available.

We gave out 40 Gift Bags filled with great items provided from local businesses.  Coupons and Gift Certificates from Catspaw Yoga, Mayu Sanctuary, Good Needles Accupuncture, Asana Studio and Following Bliss Yoga.  Free samples from Neutrogena, Yes To!, and JeffCO Coupons.  Adi Luna, a local artist, provided 20 bracelets for the bags while Diane offered another 20 glass pendant necklaces.  Rolling Sands included a BPA-free water bottle in the bags as well.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held a few days later was also a very important moment for us.  I, personally, had envisioned (and hoped) that Andy would have had a comically large pair of scissors to use to cut the ribbon!  But it was still a memorable moment for us.  Thanks to the Chamber staff and Ambassadors, the Arvada Fire Department, local merchants, Michelle R, and friends and family who joined us for this event as well.

We have recently begun to add some specialty in-store items that will not be sold on our website.  That’s because these items are unique.  We have already brought in zafus, eyebags, and neck wraps that are made locally.  Each one offers a unique fabric pattern that will (in many cases) not be available again.  We are looking at several other items to bring into our store as well.  These items are mentioned on Facebook – so follow us and stay informed!

By the end of the week you will also see more Manduka.  We’ll be carrying more items from this great manufacturer.  In addition to the recently added Black Mat Pro the following products will be ‘hopping’ on in:  Pro Lite mats, mat bags, mat wash, and more.  Keep your eye on our website for these new products.

We would like to announce that our move is complete.  We were able to open up the new store as scheduled.  You can now find us at 7506 Grandview Avenue in historic Olde Town Arvada.  Come on by anytime.  Our current business hours for the store are 10-5 Mon-Friday and hours will vary on the weekend.  Please feel free to call us for appointments for the weekends or after hours.

We are excited to announce that we will be moving our office and store in just a few short weeks. After November 21st you’ll be able to find us in the heart of Historic Olde Town Arvada. If you’re familiar with the area you’ll find us easily – we’ll be right across the street from Penzeys Spices and Charlie’s Flybox. This new location is offering us a more comfortable retail shopping experience for our local customers. We’ll also continue our strong internet presence as well, so no worries for our customers across the country (or out of the country!).

If you want to stop by before Thanksgiving, please call ahead to make sure we will be ready for your visit at the new location. We are planning to be open on Black Friday, November 25th if you wish to get a jump on your holiday shopping.

Our move will be quick so we expect minimal delays in any online orders. We will continue to do our best to have orders shipped on the same business day or within 24 hours. We thank you for your patience and understanding during our transition.

Due to the efforts involved in making this transition, we had to divert our resources away from our blog to transitioning the store – so we thank you for your patience.  We plan to begin posting new blog posts as soon as we feel that everything is perfect on the new site.

February is usually the month that fitness centers and studios start seeing a drop-off in their attendance.  Surprisingly this is just a month or so after we make those firm resolutions to “lose weight” and “get fit”.  Don’t let that happen to you!  Here are some quick ideas on how we can help you keep your resolution:

1. Maintain variety in your workout to keep it interesting and work different muscles.  You can use our blog as a resource.  We continually look for a variety of exercises that you can use in your exercise routine or yoga practice.  And we’ve tried to keep it simple by organizing these exercises under the type of equipment you already own (or are looking to purchase).  And we’ve categorized them for you by Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, and Fitness in case you want to get ideas on all products.
2. When purchasing fitness equipment or yoga supplies, buy what you think you’ll use.  Consider the space you have in your home, how much time you have to work out or practice, what will offer you the variety you are looking for or the simplicity you want, etc.  We offer a large variety of yoga props and pilates/fitness equipment, visit our website to learn more about each product.
3. Keep up with our growing selection of equipment and supplies so when you’re ready to add to your home equipment you’ll know it’s available in our store — just follow us on Facebook or Twitter for product updates.
4. Find a partner.  Exercising is always more fun when you have someone to work out with or at least to discuss your workouts with.  Friendly competition never hurts!  We are offering a Sweetheart of a Sale for the month of February to help you get a friend or loved one fit with you.

Holiday Gift Certificates are now available! And in four different dollar amounts: $25, $50, $75, and $100 certificates. Give the gift of good health and wellness this holiday season, or throughout the year.
